The float plane dropped us off here, at the Taku Lodge.

This is the first thing we saw.  And, indeed, to the side of the lodge there was a young man with a pole and a bear in the tree.  I don't think you can see it very well.  It was a black bear and the young man was assuring that if it came out of the tree it went a different direction ~ than lunch.

Alan is in the colorful jacket.  The grill is full of fresh salmon!  Yum!
