On Wednesday afternoon I received an email that said 'Hi from AZ'. I thought that's funny I don't think I know anyone in Arizona. I don't, but I got the nicest email from someone who subscribes to my blog and was writing to me about the FABRIC ORNAMENT CLASS that I have scheduled for December 11. No, Betty didn't want to take the class but she did want to show me some ornaments that she had made ~ similar to the one we will be making in class. Only, hers are even more fabulous!!!
Betty started out wanting to make a baby's 1st Christmas ornament for her granddaughter. And, 22 ornaments later, she is still making ornaments!!!! She just can't seem to stop. Here is the one she made for her granddaughter and it is beautiful! She wrote that she used the Hawaiian weave technique around the baby's picture (I don't know what that is but it makes a lovely frame, doesn't it?). Her granddaughter will always treasure this handmade gift ~ with wonderful memories of her grandmother.
She sent me two other pictures of her ornaments ~ come back tomorrow to see them! In the meantime, let me know if you are interested in learning how to make these ornaments ~ there is no sewing or gluing ~ it is all done with pins. We will be using Stampin' Up!'s pretty new fabric. You can check it out on page 16 in our Holiday Mini Catalog. The class is Saturday morning, December 11, at 10 AM and is $25.00. (Bring a friend to class and receive one of my REFERRAL CARDS and $5 off your next order!) Join me ~ it will be lots of fun! And, Betty, thanks so much for sharing your lovely pictures with me!
