You can find Stampin' Up!'s FREE FABRIC on page 10 of the Sale-a-bration brochure. It is free with a $50 order from any of the catalogs this month. It is the Flirtatious Designer Fabric, #127711, in the picture above. And the darling flower on the card is easy peasy ~ anyone can make it in minutes. I know there are some of you that are allergic to a needle and thread so you may not want to try it but it REALLY is easy peasy!!!!
1. Use a 1 1/2" x 8" piece of fabric ~ you don't have to cut it, just tear it so you have 'fringey' or 'fringy' (whatever!) edges.
2. Clip into the fabric, on the 8" side, about 1" every 1/4" or so ~ obviously, this is not an exact science. If you like, you can cut each of the 'petals' at an angle like the ones on my card. Another possibility is to make two flowers and put one on top of the other for a fuller flower.
3. Do a quick basting stitch along the uncut 8" side and pull to create the ruffled flower. Add a brad to the center and place on your card using several mini glue dots, #103683, or multipurpose liquid glue, #110755.
The saying stamped on the card, 'You make my whole face smile.', is from the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set, #125132, and also in the Sale-a-bration brochure. Give me a call if I can help you with this card or any other stamping or scrapping needs. I look forward to talking to you ~ thanks for stopping by! Susan Elise
