Christmas Favor

Favor box embossed

This Christmas Favor Box was another project at the VIP Big Shot Class on Tuesday night.  It is a little hard to tell what the box looks like because it is made with Stampin' Up!'s Window Sheets ~ clear acetate!  Here is the information if you would like to make one (or two or three ~ they would be great favors on your Christmas table and are easy to make!  My box contains a stack of Ghirardelli Pepperming Bark Squares ~ yum!) ~

FANCY FAVOR BOX

Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, #113439, page 215, Idea Book & Catalog

Die:  Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die, page 221, ~ Bigz XL Die

Extended Premium Crease Pad, #117630, page 215

Extended Cutting Pads, #113478, page 215

          Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, #116824, page 219

          Window Sheets, #114323, page 216

          Sticky Strip, #104294, page 206

Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler 1 ¼” Striped Grosgrain, #125056, page 195

          A. Follow the diagram on page 221 “How to build a Bigz L or XL  sandwich.  I used 2 pieces of card stock as shims in order for the die to cut all the way around.

          B. Take the cut window sheet (acetate) and slide the end without  the flap on the end into your embossing folder as far as it will go ~ make sure you line it up correctly.  The bottom flaps do not have to be embossed.  Run it through your Big Shot using the Multipurpose Platform.

          C.  At the other end ~ trim down the end flap to the width of Sticky Strip ~ approximately ¼”.  Slide this end into the embossing folder and run through your Big Shot.

          D.  Fold on the scored lines.  You will not have crisp folds because of the thickness of the acetate.  Adhere side flap with Sticky Strip. Fold bottom up and put Sticky Strip on the last flap to hold your box.
