Butterflies

The second project my Stamp Clubs did last month was a darling little butterfly 3 x 3 gift card.  The butterflies would also look fabulous on a table for place cards, a decoration or on a birthday package!

Card stock:  Glossy White, #102599, and Baja Breeze, #111352

Ink:  Baja Breeze classic ink, #111833

Directions:

1.  Follow directions on Technique Card using glossy card stock.  Use the brayer to color the glossy card stock (you could also sponge color on).

2.  Cut 2 pieces of Baja Breeze card stock:

  • 3 ¼” X 6”, scored at 3” ~ fold.
  • 3 ¼” x 3”

3.  Place folded Baja Breeze on die letting the wings show above the fold.  Score the top butterfly where the wings divide and fold down.  Put Sticky Strip on the half that is folded down.

4.  Cut another butterfly with Baja Breeze ~ this will be a single butterfly.  Attach the bottom half of this butterfly to the folded butterfly.

5.  Cut out two smaller butterflies using the glossy card stock.  Add one to your Technique Card.  Add the second butterfly to Baja Breeze using a Dimensional.  Add pearls in the center.

6.  Stamp the 3” X 3” envelope (#107309).

My Stamp Clubs received a Technique Card with the instructions for wax paper resist.  My goal is to have a different Technique Card prepared for each meeting.  If you are interested in becoming a member of a Stamp Club, and continuing to learn new ways to use your stamping products, give me a call or send an email.  We would love to have you and I have openings for a morning or an evening club.
