Thanksgiving Class ~ Candy Holder

My Thanksgiving Class was Saturday morning and I want to share one of the items that we made (it got rave reviews!).  This would make a wonderful favor for your Thanksgiving table and can even be used as a place card if you put each persons name in the oval instead of the message.  Here is the finished favor.

The base is two pieces of More Mustard card stock cut with the Top Note die and Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot.

2 top notes in more mustard

Line up the two bumps on the long side of the shapes at the 1" mark on your cutter.  Using only the scoring blade score one side only at 1".

The stamp set we used is FRENCH FOLIAGE on page 14 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The stamp pads we used are More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.  We stamped the Top Note shapes and we stamped a sheet of Avery Address Labels #5160.  We wrapped one label around each of three Hershey Nuggets.  We used three chocolates for each favor.  Fold each Top Note shape on the score line and adhere together to form the favor box.  Punch a small hole in the top of each shape and add 6" of satin ribbon in Early Espresso (#119753, page 191) to tie the top together.  Adhere the candy to the bottom of the favor using Mini Glue Dots.  (These favors would also be great for Christmas, Valentine's Day, Birthday Parties ~ anything you can imagine!)  Enjoy!  Susan Elise
