Do you remember the stamp set, Crab & Company? I looked for it on Monday and found it on my retired shelf. It is definitely one of those 'keeper' stamp sets in this house! I used it to make wrapping paper because my sister, Sarah, and her husband, Terry, were coming for a late Easter lunch. At the Virginia Beach Craft Show I had found two gifts for them and had to get them wrapped ~ crab salsa and a metal crab for Sarah's flower pots.
I used the stamp set and Tempting Turquoise classic ink to stamp the images all over some plain wrapping paper ($ Store) and then added a glitter crab using Stampin' Up!'s Sticky Pages on page 180 in the Idea Book & Catalog. I stamped the image using Stazon on the Sticky Pages and cut it out. You can also use your Big Shot with the Sticky Pages to make as many of a shape as you want. Next, I peeled off the back, stuck the crab to my wrapping paper, peeled off the red top layer (just like Sticky Strip) and added glitter to match. Easy-Peasy!
Why all these crabs???? Sarah and Terry have a restaurant, Crabbie's, in Coinjock, North Carolina (on your way to the Outer Banks). The food is fabulous ~ they do most of the cooking! They just reopened after being closed for the winter. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 – 8 PM. On Sunday, from 11 AM to 6 PM and closed on Monday. I definitely recommend you give it a try ~ you won't be sorry. The phone number is 252-453-6225, tell them Princess Calico sent you!
