Ashley is a member of one of my Stamp Clubs that meets monthly in the Cat/Art Studio. Members of her Stamp Club, and Ashley, have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of her baby girl. She arrived yesterday, April 1, and her name is Mackenzie Randall, isn't that sweet?
Last night, at my Stamp Club (who named themselves Wild Wasabi Women!!!), we were making paper flowers. So, I made one of the flowers for a little gift I am putting in the mail for Ashley and her new daughter. I thought I would show you the package and the flower and tell you how to make it in case you wanted to add one to a gift or to your Easter decorations.
I used Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper ~ this is a great way to use scraps! I used the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch, page 10 in the Occasions Mini Catalog; a silver brad, and the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool (page 191 in the Idea Book & Catalog).
1. Punch out 8 flowers.
2. Scrunch up each flower tightly. Unfold.
3. Stack flowers on top of each other. Pierce with the Paper Piercing Tool & add the brad in the center of the flowers.
4. Squish the flowers together again starting at the top and squishing all the other flowers around the top flower.
5. Open the flower petals gently. Fluff. Enjoy!
