Friday Stampin’ Hint

DSC_0001I thought I would provide a FRIDAY STAMPIN' HINT.  It is a basic procedure but one that some of you might not know.  Stampin' Up!'s beautiful rubber stamps are created with heat and with a press to form the various images.  When a stamp, like the butterfly in the picture, has a lot of rubber surface, and not much detail, it is sometimes difficult for the ink to evenly cover the surface.  That is because the heat used to form it leaves a light glaze over the top.  When you put your stamp on the block, condition the surface by using a sanding block (package in the picture) to lightly rough up the surface.  You can use StazOn Cleaner for the same purpose.  Both of these methods will allow your ink to cover the stamp more evenly.

Stampin' Up! Products:

Butterfly Accent stamp, #119211, $7.95

Sanding Blocks, #103301, $3.50

StazOn Cleaner, #109196, $4.95

I hope this helps!  These items are inexpensive and can make a BIG difference when you have a new stamp!
