VINTAGE GIFTS FOR MOTHER’S DAY & GRADUATION
Are you wondering what to give for upcoming celebrations
such as birthdays, Mother’s Day and Graduation?
Would you like something a little different and something that will have
value because it is handmade? And, would
you like to make it yourself? I have the
answer for you ~ a handmade gift box and cards in the vintage style that is so
popular. What is vintage?
There are many definitions of the word vintage and most of
them have to do with wine, an exceptionally
fine wine from a crop in a very good year.
Yet, vintage also refers to many other areas of our culture. You will find VINTAGE shoes, cars,
photography, wallpaper, prom dresses, wedding dresses and on and on. So what is vintage and why would someone who
teaches people to use rubber stamps for cards and scrapbooking be interested in
vintage?
Because vintage is also a style characterized by excellence,
maturity, and enduring appeal; a classic style that is used in designing many
products. It is a little different for
each of us and can relate to the colors used, the design and the use of certain
accessories. Vintage can vary from a
retro-type modern flavor to an almost Victorian flavor.
If you are interested in the vintage style, and giving a special
person a handmade gift, you might be
interested in my April class creating a vintage style gift box and four
cards. I have added pictures so that you
can see what you will be making. The
class will be on Sunday afternoon, April 11, and April 18, from 2 PM to 4 PM,
you choose one or the other. The class
fee is $19.97 and your check or credit card guarantees your spot in the
class. The class fee includes all
supplies, a handout on Vintage Vogue and directions for the cards and gift
